What sad news. Dick was one of the finest people I've ever met. I introduced myself the first time we met, and he had an talent of remembering names. This is what struck me to be a one of a kind person. I've bowled for many years on the Midwest PBA regional circuit, and became a friend of Mr. Weber as I first called him. Not only could he bowl, he liked to tee it up also. I'll miss him, and so will the bowling community..
Good bye Dick... My friend...

I think bowling would be more fun to watch if there were hot cheerleaders, and it was a contact sport, with all the trash-talking and stuff... ;0)

Nope. Just have some respect for the dead. Even if they're bowlers.

Nope. Just have some respect for the dead. Even if they're bowlers. And how was I being disrespectful? Just because I dont know who he is? So lets put up the Obit of the 1977 Frisbee World Champion up in the Breaking News sidebar while were at it.
Lighten up

Anyone who grew up in the 60s remembers watching Dick Weber on the Pro Bowlers Tour on Saturday afternoons. Got to remember there were only 4-to-5 channels on tv back then so anyone who was on tv regularly developed quite a following. Dick was one of the best.

I met Dick when I was Junior bowler of the year in 1971.
A consummate gentleman.

This was more than a frisbee championship. He really was known worldwide in the sport and was a giant.
