I don't think there is global warming. And I don't think I ever said such a thing. My entire point of posting was to show that even those calculations showing emissions are inaccurate because they don't account for how much CO2 is taken OUT of the atmosphere.

"Wasn't it defeated by some narrow margin like 95-0? Before Bush even announced he was running for President?"

Yeah, Kerry wasn't there that day.

Spain is already irretrievably in violation. When the treaty was written, they were a far less affluent place than they are now. They've got to cut their emissions by about 1/2 in order to be in compliance, and unfortunately for them, they are going the wrong direction.

That's interesting. Where can I find source information on CO2 absorption?

Thanks for posting the article. I couldn't see anything that supports the thesis that Russia does not absorb much CO2. Remember that the huge boral forest is still intact and Russia (followed by Canada) has most of it. Russia's economy is less than the size of Denmark's, so there is no way that Russia is a huge emitter of C02. In my view, huge forests coupled with a tragically small economic economy means that Russia is probably one of biggest c02 soaks on the planet.
