You don't really think there is a shortage now that these weapons will fill later in the automatic weapons black market, do you? 100K Kalashnikov rifles ain't spit to the existing black market. Also, in the time it would take to deploy Nat'l Guard troops from them sitting at home they can bring them back from anywhere on the globe and put them to work with any domestic problem.

"Too many", or "the bad kind" of any firearm...NOT the problem.
