Fine, but didn't this go much, much too easily? The millionaire neocommuists in the anti-American msm almost NEVER quit. Rather didn't quit and people like Eveans and Clift and Fat Old Helen are still spewing poison.

The left wing media has long exagerated facts making it hard to tell the differnce between the front page of the NYT and a Garafolo rant or a McAuliffe blather. But, doesn't this just make them less easy to spot? Don't get me wrong, anything that moves the msm to being even a little honest is good. But, the msm is so irrelevant now why bother.

The guy on MSNBC would covers story highlights (yeah, he's a real leftie, but he is watchable) called the folks who demanded honesty from Eason, "healots." Now, let's see where Eason winds up before we count this as a victory for journalistic integrity (gaaaaaag! Yes, but it is a concept they use!).

that's funny.

the "lynch mob" are the leftists manufactured by universities here and in europe that create news for the purpose of changing the world to their viewpoints.

talk radio and the internet have made these leftists transparent.

I think the MSM and the Hollywood Left are finding out much to their major chargrin that with the public Internet, anything they say will get reported around the world at breathtakingly fast speeds.

I mean consider these cases: remember when the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines made her flippant comment denouncing President Bush just before Operation Iraqi Freedom started during a Dixie Chicks show in London? Thanks to the public Internet, the result was a near-destruction of their popularity. Or how about what happened to Linda Ronstadt when she opened supported Michael Moore's movie Fahrenheit 9/11? Or how about Sean Penn's ill-advised trip to Iraq before the war that ended up costing him a major acting role? Or how about Whoopi Goldberg's foul-mouthed performance during a fundraiser for the Kerry campaign?

Methinks the Hollywood Left better start understanding that in today's world of hyperspeed communications anything they say anywhere in the world will get reported very quickly indeed, much to their detriment.

Wow! That's great to hear but that post is very hard to read for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on right now. I'm sure that it will come to me later when I'm not thinking about it.

Jordan's days were numbered after he authored the NYT editorial where he admitted that CNN withheld stories and colored others to maintain its presence in Iraq. His Faustian bargain with Saddam was the beginning of his undoing. He admitted that CNN ignored tortune and other household Saddamite atrocities so that they could continue to report the important news, such as the amazing Saddam landslide in Iraq's truly democratic elections, mind you the recent one's were total frauds. It wasn't so much that CNN committed these terrible acts of omission but rather that Jordan, in classic liberal attitude, failed to comprehend the destructive effects of these acts.

To Jordan I can only say good riddance and I'm sorry the world didn't catch on to you sooner.
