Freep this guy's e-mail: TJIDAN@aol.com. He's talking about us, folks, make no mistake about it(of course, he doesn't have the guts to mention FR by name).

It describes DU much better than FR. The BS and other papers have been on a tear against online conservatives for a while. Rathergate and Eason Jordan make them want revenge revenge revenge

Don't go onto the big scary internet little children. The people there are isolated, cynical, poo poo heads. Stay here with us and get your information from your good old MSM nanny. That's right little children. You can trust us. We said so. Later on, if you're all good, we'll all have cookies and some nice Kool-Aid.

translation: "people are going online and fact checking...they are discovering the real truth of the stories that newspapers and liberal journalists are putting out. THEY ARE PUTTING US IN A PLACE OF ACCOUNTABILITY!

NO...NO...NO! We must stop them!....
Now get on the air...and tell the sheeple to stick their heads out the window and yell....
'I'm as mad as h#ll.....And I'm not going to take it anymore'!"

That last part is actually from the movie 'NETWORK' (1976)
It's on Turner Classic Movies right now.

It must be terrible to sense that people no longer need your disdain for the truth, that all that has been taught in the schools of urinalism is no longer applicable, belief in America's founding principles will be coming out and can no longer be undermined in the guise of Eurosocialist "neutrality."

I will not give him the satisfaction.

Oh, God, that liberal Manchurian Candidate flake from Massachusetts who writes dreck trashing the whole city! What a lame loser! Go back to Massachusetts!

This gets a Black Aggie Urban Legend award for helping to spread the idea that FR was the origin of the rumor in question.

From the article: "What occasioned this announcement was the outing of the source of these rumors. He turned out to be a longtime pal of the Republican governor of Maryland."

I believe it already has been established that this is factually untrue. The rumors predated any involvement from the governor's staff. If the writer had actually read and studied the topic he is writing on, he would know that. They need better fact checkers at The Baltimore Sun. And the writer is in need of issuing a correction and an apology. Readers of The Sun deserve better.

The Internet is wonderful, but it has created a vast diaspora of the unengaged, the isolated and the cynical. These are not people interested in building bridges or communities. They are about tearing down, and trashing anyone they don't like on some petty, personal level. They are the other side.

My first reaction was to think of l'affaire Jordan and say "well, if payback hasn't been a b*tch yet for you yet Dan, it's sure gonna be.". Because this guy has been sliming Republicans in Maryland for years.

You're right Dan, we are the other side.

from the article: "If the other side ever wins, we are cooked."

We did win and the last time I checked it was Dan Rather and John Kerry who got "cooked."

It would be hard to imagine a more cynical view of Maryland and Baltimore than are offered up by the bottomfeeding carpetbagger writers of The Baltimore Sun. This is the pot calling the kettle black.

Mrs Heatseeker refuses to let the Sun in the house. She says she's sensitive to bad odors.

Right now they're talking about NCPAC because they don't want to have to talk about how Baltimore has gone down the toilet under O'Malley. When they do talk about it, the spin is so bizarre you wonder what drugs they're on - "the murder rate is way up but only for for people who act like druggies; otherwise Charm City is perfectly safe!".

And those of us who don't live in the urban areas which O'Malley sees as the only legitimate part of America, certainly don't want him trying to govern us too.

O'Malley is a real loon. His comments about Bush and 9/11 were totally absurd. This all looks like an orchestrated agenda of liberal spin. Remember the kooks who blamed right-wing talk radio and Rush Limbaugh for the Oklahoma City bombing? And Hillary's shrill apocalyptic ravings about the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy? Well, they are replaying this manueuver only targeting conservative websites and blogs.

Frustrated over the defeat of wacko John Kerry, they are now going after the conservative supporters of Bush. And Ehrlich, apparently.

Pathetic.

Did he forget just how many Americans are on the internet?

Love to know the percentage of his readers who are on the net LOL!!! Because now they know what he thinks about them LOL!!! They are the unengaged, the isolated and the cynical. LOL!!!

And he told them they are about tearing down, and trashing anyone they don't like on some petty, personal level. And that they are the other side. LOL!!!

And the writer is in need of issuing a correction and an apology.

Rough & Tough Danny never apologizes. He's a very bitter man who tries to portray himself as one of the people, writing Barnacle-like local Baltimore small shop owner discussions.

Well, he ain't tough and has run away from a couple confrontations in the suburbs, he ain't local because he's from New England and Roderick ain't his real name.

Him and Olesker are a matched set of parrot poop targets if you abused your parrot by putting the BS on the cage bottom.

From the bottomfeeding lumpendreck he serves up regularly one might think it was an attempt to socially engineer Baltimore into the same depressed despairing state of washed-up Massachusetts socialists like himself. Classic straw man. He targets East Baltimore zanies for exploitation and passes this off as urban-realism "social commentary" indicative of trends. Pretty cynical. Sort of goes well with the adolescent nostalgia about what the strip clubs on "The Block" were like in the '60s served up by that other writer who has gotten himself all worked up over Ehrlich. Makes you wonder who they think their audience is.

Just a carpetbagger looking down on the locals. Rather boring...
