Hopefully, he'll be gone by 30 days.

He'll be gone by the end of this weekend, then the ACLU can take over.

This will be what gets him fired...bad plagarism and making up data are still academic sins of the first caliber...this and lying that you are a minority (cause they lose the diversity brownie points)....

The real Indians will not claim him as one of theirs. He should be gone all right. To jail.

I'm more qualified to teach at a Community College than Ward Churchill is at Colorado State Univesity - but I can't get a position because I'm a white male. But they will hire a white guy who pretends to be an Indian and accept his bogus research as evidence of his scholarly credentials. Amazing.

I think I like this Churchill's words better.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."

Just like Mary Mapes and Dan Rather said, the documents may be false but the story is true. Waiting for that defense to be used again.

But, he sounds like a natural for a job with CBS news!Or CNN. Paul Zahn had a segment on the Churchill controversy last night. They spent the whole segment bashing Governor Owens.

Looks like he made the whole smallpox blanket story up..

'I mean, making up data is already one of the worst things you can do in academia, but to make up a story about genocide is unconscionable, he said. 'Some of the falsehoods Churchill has propogated have worked their way into scholarly literature. There are a huge amount of people quoting false claims that Churchill made.' More evidence that backs my belief that much of non-science academa is a total fraud. How many Churchills are out there that haven't gotten their names in the paper yet? Thousands, most probably.
Some CU student who had to take this guy's class ought to sue the university for malpractice.

that's amusing that they'd notice now.
25 years ago he was doing the same thing, and he's been rewarded by the administration all along.

Has anybody found out whether Churchill lied about being a Vietnam Vet yet?
To: gopwinsin04
Hope Ward Churchill enjoys his 15 minutes in the spotlight, cause his name will be synonomous with academic fraud for one helluvalot longer than that.

"Churchill's Work, Employment Documents Now Under Scrutiny..." The snowball hurtles down the slope gaining momentum and mass while Mr. Churchill can do nothing but flail and wail and bleat.

I think administrators are the real problem in universities. They're the ones who knowingly cover up frauds, just so they can continue to line their pockets with taxpayer money.

Whatever it was, the consensus on FOX last night on Brit Hume's show was that he should not have had to resign. It was something about his not writing for a newspaper or news magazine but for on-line print. They supported his on-line work.
