I almost hesitated to post it because of that but decided to anyway.
Interesting post, I have long resigned myself to the fact that as a white American man I will be blamed for everything. It doesn't matter that my ancestors had fought and died for freedom. The blood of slain Union soldiers apparently was not thick enough for redemption. Once as a boy in the 1960's fascinated by all the talk of black power, I went to school and proudly told people that I had white power. I had it explained to me clearly that it was a horrible racist thing for me to say. I look for the humor in racist comments directed toward me from other races and often find it. The Mexicans in California talking about sending all the Europeans back to Europe was hysterical for example. I try honestly to judge everyone on their character as much as possible, racism is a mental trap that obviously snares people of all races. As long as there are people there will be friction between different groups, and if there weren't differences I think that people would invent them./p>
