But they could have prevented it from happening if they had just shut their mouths when they came out of (small claims) court. Uh, Herb, YOU could have prevented it from happening if YOU had just accepted the girls' generous offer to pay your messed up wife's medical bills, and NOT TAKEN THEM TO COURT!

I know these girls didn't go out seeking the newspaper or the news media. They came to the girls and the girls spoke.

Denver radio station KOA raised more than enough money to pay the court award The girls were on Fox this morning. They said that KOA had raised over $5,000 for them. They planned to donate the excess to charity.

The Youngs have their $930. That's all they are entitled to, thanks to a misquided judge. The subsequenst events of which they complain were occasioned by their own behavior. They should quietly withdraw from public notice without further comment, which can only hurt their cause. Hopefully they will put their ill-gotten gains to some good use. No sympathy here.

A frightened Young said she spent the night at her sister's home, then went to the hospital the next morning because she was still shaking and had an upset stomach.
This is the part that doesn't make any sense to me. I can't understand for the life of me how a judge ruled against the teenagers in this case. It just doesn't make any sense from any angle at all. Did Young go out a different door and not see it was just someone leaving cookies? And if she was so frightened someone was outside, why did she leave the house to go to her sister's? Why didn't she stay inside the house and call the police?
Whatever damage Young suffered, she did to herself. Period

"It's horrible, nobody has heard our side," said Herb Young,. ." You HAVE no side, fool!

I don't recall the original story mentioning that Young was even married. Makes you wonder where her husband was while she was sooooo scared. The revelation that she has a husband makes her behavior even more questionable. Why did she need to go to her sisters house if she had a husband at home? This story stinks even more now.

What I want to know is..What door did the old ditty leave the house from when she went to her sister house??
If it was the front door she would have had to step on the cookies, if it was the back door did she ever have to walk to the front of the house???
Me thinks that the the Young's should have "Just kept their mouths shut" many, many years ago.

"It's horrible, nobody has heard our side," said Herb Young, adding the couple has had to hire a lawyer. "I don't believe the girls meant for this to happen. But they could have prevented it from happening if they had just shut their mouths when they came out of (small claims) court. Now they are caught in something they can't control." True to form, these clowns refuse to accept that ANY of this is their fault for making a mountain out of a molehill. Nope, not one iota.
Clue to the Youngs...people hate people like you, people think there are WAY too many people like you around (and they are right), and because of your greedy hateful ways, you painted yourselves as a national poster child For People We Hate, and you're getting your just rewards. What, did you really think your ridiculous lawsuit would go unnoticed? Have fun, suckers, and hope the $900 was worth it...
