I've got to admit, it is a heck of a lot of fun to rock 'n roll with an M-60, but my "banger" of choice was Maw-duce.

I strongly suspect that the reaction to General Mattis' comments is one of those red state/blue state things. Personally, I loved them. I am from one of the reddest states of all -- Texas. I imagine that the comments didn't go over nearly so well in places like Vermont.

A message to: U.S. Lieutenant General James Mattis
Dear General Patton
Please step away from the microphone and resume dispatching our enemies.
Carry on Sir.

I have a long history of military service in my family, as do millions of other Americans
Why not you? Maybe you would then understand this point I make.
His service in the marines is no longer honorable.
Not your call, jerk.
I am glad he enjoys his job. A terrorist kills civilians to induce fear in good people. A Marine kills those who pose a threat and induce fear in those who would do us harm. Big difference.

Count me into the "1%" (according to this dumb-@ss) of US soldiers who agrees 100% with Gen. Mattis.

This guy sounds exactly like the asshole editor of my college's student paper; real liberal, always bashing Bush and the war, then hiding behind his father's career as a Marine, who's actually serving our country in Iraq. And he enjoys taunting college Republicans and all who support the war, saying they should join the Marines and go over there to be killed. I emailed that douche and told him I was doing just that. Oh yeah, ping.

Sounds like the reasoning of a 12 year old. It's amazing who is allowed their own radio shows now days.

I am stunned that such a ludicrous statement would find it's way to print.

My sentiments exactly. Too bad, soldiers kill bad guys, if they enjoy their job more power to them.

Soldier = Kill things and break things, what could be so hard to understand about that? Liberals would all be dead by now if left to their own devices.

Maybe its more of a dem/republican thing. I'm a blue stater and I loved what he said. Especially if you heard the context (which of course, in the MSM you didn't) which was that you are shooting scum who beat women for not wearing a veil. As a woman, I'd shoot 'em myself.

IMO I don't think it's good policy or procedure to want any U.S. Marine to kill vicious terrorists reluctantly.

Last night on Hannity & Colmes, Ann Coulter referred to General Mattis as her future husband!

Casey Hoff is a nitwit. He has never been in the military, and I don't guess he knows a thing about "shots fired in anger".
When the adrenaline subsides, when you no longer have that "copper penny" in your mouth, the joys and rush of life returns with overwhelming power.
They are the enemy Casey Hoff, our Marines do not "feel bad" about killing them.
