I noticed the WA flag. How's the recount doing? I'm shipping on the East Coast and wonder how my 2nd Amendment rights are holding up. It's a shame that the state named after our first president, one who would count his victories against tyranny because patriots owned weapons, is now a state that harbors such anti-traditional values in self-preservation.

The democrats have begun their gun grab, but I think the senators from the red states might not go for it. We'll see.

The governess is still there. We did well in Round 1, now the evidence needs to be presented. The judge could invalidate the election, and we'd have to have a new one.

My concern is the ambiguous wording for anti- .50 cal laws (didn't California ban such guns? Or is it just the Barrett rifle?). Anyone who's shot a Desert Eagle knows that it's not for combat, and a shotgun slugster isn't much of an "assault" firearm (but great for hunting). I don't have much hope for the left coast, and I pray that it doesn't take a volcanic Cascade to wipe out the metro sinfulness of WA.

I hope the election is invalidated. But, I'm wondering how long it will take...and if I could be a resident of a different state before the anti-gun laws "make" me a criminal.

The firearms rankings are usually Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert and then Master.
The Army uses the first three and I think the Marines do too. There isn't a ranking called Expert Marksman because that's a combination of two rankings. I also wondered exactly what did she qualify with because a soldier or Marine can qualify with different weapons, even grenades.
I hope I'm not being too abrupt but I'm getting ready for work and I'm already late.

I know she qualified Sharpshooter at first, but then qualified up a level from there, but I didn't remember exactly what it was called, so I went googling and came up ... wrong, I guess. Expert, then. Can you tell I'm civilian? lol I'd have to ask about the weapon.

I came here from California (fleeing their gun laws, among other things.)

I have a Baretta 9mm that take a 15-round magazine. Under proposed law, I could only use a 10-round magazine. Why? Does five extra rounds make the difference between life and death?

I really only need one shot (maybe two), so I find this proposal stupid and pointless. It's a "feel good" law.

As for the governor's race, it may be awhile. I think they're working on setting a date to hear the evidence.

I had a date once with a LLL - he thought that "the government" should pay for people to go to school "as long as they wanted to go"!

I said, "the government" is ME, you, US - why should I pay for you to go to school forever!?

And then I said, WHO would be working if the entire country could just go to school for free? Who would be paying for us to go? "The government" doesn't GROW money!

I get so confused by their logic....

The second time I tried to date a LLL (Liberal Loonie Lefty), we argued about the National Endowment for the Arts and how peeing on a portrait of the Virgin Mary was probably not "Art".

Amazing how many liberals believe that the government should just create more money and pass it out, so everyone will have all the money they need. Since they don't understand that money is a measure of created value (and not a commodity being hoarded by the "Scrooge McDuck rich") they will never get it, and it's dangerous to let such fools vote - or date Republican women. ;)

Yes, they do believe that "The Government" prints money or grows it on a tree somewhere. They never understand that it is OURS!

I will never date another. I was trying to be open to it when I first moved to this giant Blue State. Not anymore... I actually ask people straight out before I agree to a date.

Saves me from headaches.
