This is generally but not always true. There are still many high profile conservatives in academia: Victor Davis Hanson, Alan Kors, Harvey Mansfield, Marvin Olaksky, and I could go on. All speak quite freely about their views. All would be at great risk if PC administrators are empowered via an attack on academic freedom.
