Just as soon as a Dem president wins, this 'World Tax' will be shoved down our throats
officially...
Until then, the $15b in AIDS aid, "nation building," and international "disaster relief" make the 'World Tax' assessment un-official.

Why don't we here in the US just take care of those debts for them. After all, we have the lowest foreign aid to GDP ratio in the entire developed world.
First off...your "about" page says you are in Israel. If that's the case, then feel free to speak for Israel, and NOT for us.
Secondly, what you suggest reveals that you are a socialist/leftist and therefore a troll....regardless of what you claim.
But hey....have a ball! In fact, drain your entire bank account! Go to some really run down, high crime, high drug addiction area and start there. Yeah...that's the ticket. Just go there and start handing out cash. You are a white guy, right? Because you know...uh...ah nevermind. You'll figure it out.
Now think about it smart boy. What do you think is going to happen just after that? All of their problems are just going to disappear in a big cloud because you gave them lots of cold hard cash....right? :-)
You let us all know when you get back from your little cash hand out excursion. We want to know how it went.
Oh yeah...don't forget to bring your ass back with you in a bucket or a bag or something, because you're going to get it handed to you.

OK I can go along with your idea on the result that we never loan or guarantee any loans to any country that has defaulted or been forgiven any loan debt. This would be a one time debt forgiveness, after this if a defaulted country needs monies, they must raid the illegal plundered accounts of the formal leaders. Not ONE country who is defaulting on loans or wants the loans forgiven is able to say that they are clean of corruption. Total accounting of all dollars spent for foreign aid or no dollars the next year...

Um, no. The banks get paid in full. Our governments (and IMF, world bank, etc) pick up the tab. Bankers are perfectly happy to lend to deadbeats if Uncle Sugar pays when the deadbeat doesn't.
Here is the deal I'd make. We will say yes and erase 3rd world debt, in return for 3 concessions. (1) We don't get any lectures about "reparations" because they are now paid in full. (2) African nations agree to demand an end to the wars in Congo and the Sudan immediately, and to support such demands with both diplomatic and economic measures, and contributions to military forces to help bring them about. (3) Zimbabwe and Sudan (and any others in the same category etc) are not included, unless they allow in international relief organizations immediately, to go anywhere and administer aid as needed, and stop attacks on their own populations.
For those, we will write them off. Better for everyone. But no free ride for disfunctional tyrants wrecking their own peoples' future.

My reply would be simpler, and I believe, more to the point:
no baboonery with my money!
I would not have been lending there in the past, and most certainly would not be in the future.
