The Vietnam Vets got an absolutely BAD RAP. I was young, but I wasn't stupid. For all those that served in Vietnam - GOD LOVE EM. I have a special place in the heart for those warriors. I was able to oversee the liberal "spin" in school.

I have heard some military leaders on some of the Congressional hearings talking about how they want to ramp up the screening for PTSD for returning troops--

I can't help but think that having the internet and TV available over there and hearing the likes of Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, bad mouthing their effort, can possibly be responsible for a lot of emotions they will feel.

Thank you so much for telling your story---my husband is a Vietnam Vet--I have a feeling he has buried a lot. I don't know if he would even admit that sh*t is even down in him.

I hope the medication helps you---perhaps if you told your story to the military they would MAKE SURE that our returning troops are closely screened, so that perhaps they can be treated sooner than later.

My father's a 'Nam vet.

This country will owe them all a debt even beyond the grave. I will say this. The pain they went through because of these activists did serve to teach this country never to allow these activists reign to be seen as the majority force in this country. Our troops will not be spit on, have blood thrown at them or practice made acceptable to call them baby killers. If people proceed to do this, they are hit back brutally by the majority.

Sure, the Ted kennedy's and John Kerry's and Jane Fonda's still live. they do not hold the sway they once did and, imo, this is because too many people bear shame for what was done to husbands, sons, fathers, brothers and friends. Their sacrfices in "nam weren't in vain. They can take pride they have had something to do with the honor our military of today recieves.

I hope that the Vietnam Vets of this Country know that the vast MAJORITY of this country are very appreciative of this era. I may be a kid at almost 39, but I want all Veterans to know that WE APPRECIATE YOU!

I know that my posts always surround this subject. It's a real sore issue with me.

I tell you what---we have a Congress that is dangerously close to doing the same thing in Iraq that Congress did during Vietnam---They are trying to legislate the war, instead of letting the military handle it---

Everytime you have Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, Kerry get on National TV (international, also) and proclaim this an "illegal war" and that we need an "exit strategy" NOW, it is undermining the Defense Dept., and Centcomm and all of the military leaders.

This, in turn, makes us (America)look weaker in the terrorists eyes, and the eyes of our "allies", France, Germany, Britain, and especially Russia. How can they deal with the US,--Bush and Rice, if Congress is calling them liars and the military, losers.?

NO we are not, Anybody who has been in combat or has, or have had, a family member in combat understands that Generals get to where they are because they enjoy killing the enemy and would not want a job doing anything else but killing the enemy. I salute that General, he wants to see his boys come home alive and preparing them to fight and win with the attitude that killing the enemy is not only the right thing, it's fun, that's how they come home and live with it.

There is no place for feelings in war, if it means making it a sport, so be it. God Bless him is what I say

You may be right, but I have a high (what do I want to say) regard for Mr. PRESIDENT Bush. He absolutely has political savvy. The Liberal losers will be DOA. Listen to Rush (one of my Heroes behind all those that serve our country).
