The problem with the Democrats is that they can be quoted "Ad nauseam" over the last decade (or longer) warning Americans about the problems with Social Security. They have done nothing but talk about addressing the problem! When President Bush starts to try and find a solution and also move forward in examining a number of options they, The Dinocrats, hiss?
It’s time to elect 5 more Republicans to the Senate to move some things forward in an intelligent and worthwhile manner!
Hiss Dinocrats, Hiss! That is all you will be doing for the next few decades…

"Their reaction came when Bush asserted that Social Security is ``headed toward bankruptcy'' -- a point that most Democrats and some analysts dispute. "

I thought the "impending doom of Social Security" was one of the dems main talking points at every election.

The dems don't really know what they want - other than power and money - they just can't stand W being right about anything.

Those people on the left need to be kept out of control, if we value our country.

I thought it was totally embarassing to see adults like like 3 year olds on national television....if they want to do that at their loony convention, thats one thing, but to have this happen when our President is speaking, is disgusting and they all should be kicked out of office...toatally DISGUSTING!!!!

``When you start out by stating a premise that's factually incorrect, there's no place to go,'' ...and who would know this better than the dems?

The RATS are the ones who are lying and playing loose with the facts.

They are claiming that by 2050, because the system can still payout 70% or so of social security benefits to beneficiaries, that the system is not bankrupt and that the President is loathesome to use that language.

What the RATS do not understand and what we must shout from the rooftops: any moratorium on payments, in whole or in part, legally constitutes bankruptcy.

You can make the math say whatever you want. But Social Security, as currently configured, will get much more expensive over the next thirty years.

That's what the dems are counting on. If they let it go to a crisis, they will at last get their beloved tax increase. If it gets fixed, the urgency to raise taxes will be gone.

"Hiss by Democrats sign of challenge for Bush"

Hiss by demoncRATS sign of shiite arses.

Shelia Jackson Lee, she hugged the aisle line to kiss up to Bush when he entered, hissed at him as he spoke, and then rushed back to the aisle line, so as to play kiss up photo opt with him on his way out.

Typical of all the back stabbing, two faced, liberal, leftist, cum-commie demoncRATs.

If the Demoncraps are so confident in social security, I recommend they scrap the senate retirement in lieu of social security. If they won't do that, then they are full of it.

Some twit on FOX just said the jeers by the dems shows they are fighting back against the President's plans.

These people have no idea which way is up! They are running around screaming and they don't even know what it's about. And they want to win elections with this policy. They have to be kidding.

I read the Democrats' responses. Its their standard litany of complaints. And they offer no solutions for the problems that remain unfixed. Who are they kidding in saying the President's off track? Methinks they should go and look in the mirror.
