This article contains the perfect description of an organized crime family's operations. A 'Godfather' passing down hit orders to 'Capos' who then go out to terrorize the neighborhood. There is no inkling of religious fervor, only the pursuit of raw power from the barrel of a gun. To characterize these thugs as anything other than members of an organized crime family is misleading. They are not Martyrs, Rebels, Insurgents, Fanatics or anything other than gang members.

Most reporters in Iraq seem to tag alongside the terrorists while they terrorize the troops. They probably have significant intelligence that might cripple the so-called "insurgency" if they were to divulge it to the American soldier.

That's the most horrible thing about this interview. That the reporter, first of all, obtained an interview, and secondly, did not turn him in.
