Follow the money. These people live off of OPM. That's the root.

First it was nuclear winter, in the 70s. Then it was global warming, from the 80s on. Now we have a cold winter which might carry over into the next winter so they had to think of something else to scare us with.

Remember this: Socialist, progressives, communist, democrats et al. must keep you scared so they can control you. It is easy to control people that are terrified. You can thus pass new laws and gain more control over the ones being ruled. It is an age old tatic and practiced very ineffectually today because of the information we have at our fingertips. It is getting so a hard working communist can't hardly make a dent in people's thinking anymore. Time to bring out the mind ray machines.

Just take it with a grain of salt. When something disproves their nutball theories they won't say, "OH, we were wrong! Sorry!" , they will simply go on to the next nutball theory.

(Try to add liquid oxygen to your charcoal at the next BBQ)

And why would one want to freeze their charcoal and their barbecue, which is what would happen here if the fire didn't quickly turn the liquid to gas again. What is the point of your post?

As far as republicans "solution" to global warming, it isn't pressing on the gas pedal of an SUV, a lot of us don't own one to start with, it is seeing global warming for the BS it really is. Lies told by the leftist to press their agenda, keep the sheep terrified so they can control them.

Global warming is false, been disproven. The globe may warm up some but we are between ice ages and we have had warmer weather than we are having now.

I am sure an ice age will come along at the appropriate time and that we will all wish we had some global warming at that time. Hopefully it will be many centuries in the future. By that time I am sure the greenies and other left wing idiots will have figured out how to control the weather.

I'm confused are the republicans causing the cold snap or is mother nature influencing the ozone hole.

so you are saying:

1.) a BBQ freezes if one pours liquid oxygen on it.
2.) global warming is leftist propaganda

there's always something to learn on the internet. But our schools in europe are a bit run down, so we just can't keep the pace with your eduction it seems.

Thank you !

Don't the climate models all say that the warming will be worse and first in the arctic?

Ho-hum...

Still MORE proof that OXYGEN in the Stratosphere is converted to Ozone when it absorbs ultraviolet rays.

Winter in the Arctic => no sunshine => no UV rays => no O2 converted to O3 => "Ozone Hole" increases.

Summer in the Arctic => sunshine => UV rays => O2 is converted to O3 => "Ozone Hole" decreases.

I know...

This observation is NOT "politically correct".

Which seems to prove that "politically correct" is a synonym for GULLIBLE.

I thought these zealots had been blaming the hole in the ozone on global warming.

How the heck are we supposed to know whether to ride our bikes or just drive the hell out of our SUVs ? Or should we just do whatever feels good?

Mother Nature created the big button hole in the ozone, but not to worry-next she will sew on a big button to go with it.

Simple.

Take all the "nasty" Ozone in LA, Bottle it, and release it in the sky over the Artic Circle where it will be "Good" Ozone.

It is so easy to kill 2 stones with one bird . . . Any Democrat could of thunk it (well exept for Teddy, he is too drunk to think)

;-)

Temperature data varies in quality around the Arctic.

While data of Canada and the United States may be of good quality and internally consistent, there is question about the data quality of the former Soviet Union. The closing of weather stations there and the degradation of data consistency -- and possibly quality -- raises concerns about the surface station database used to determine recent temperature changes.

Temperature data compiled for the Mys Smidta station on Russia's east Arctic coast (table 1) illustrates the nature of data reported and used for some Arctic locations in the last decade. In addition, although the ACIA report concludes that there is general warming, the report illustrates for the central and eastern Canadian Arctic, Greenland and the adjacent seas (Sub-Region IV) that temperatures have cooled by 2 degrees Celsius over the last 50 years.

This suggests that the temperature variability does not reflect a global or polar trend, but rather can be related to data issues and redistribution of heat.

Adverse impact projections for these areas that data indicate cooling are based solely on computer models that predict warming of 4-7 degrees Celsius.

All of the ACIA projections are based on forward computer models, and therefore the accuracy and reliability of these models are crucial to conclusions drawn from their projections.

Global Circulation Models have not yet been successful in back modeling of recorded climate history through the Little Ice Age and into the Medieval Climate Optimum (to about A.D. 900). This inability to model pre-industrial revolution climate change probably is a result of not recognizing that solar and orbital variability, not human emissions, drive climate change (for instance, see Bond et al, 2001; and Zahn, 2002; also Fischer et al, 1999).

Models empirically fit to parameters in which greenhouse gases are the primary drivers of climate change and will not be successful in modeling past climates.

Over 65% of the ozone was eaten away by manmade chemical products in that season

Really? They took actual measurements and found 'manmade chemical products' in the stratosphere in the affected area at that time?

Or is this simply a biased assumption?
