Well yeah but he was playing a hectoring has been filmmaker. Typecasting! Iv'e never regarded that as a Reiner film really. More Chritopher Guest and co.

All very true about Spinal Tap. But Reiner did direct and I would say it is easily the best of the Guest, etc. mockumentary films.
