Go ahead and "trust her claim" all you like.

The fact remains that you have yet to provide any hard numbers on what that 95% really means. I'm to the point where I doubt that you do know what the statistic means. Have you seen her data? Do you know if she's the only one making the claim? Is she talking about 10 "outstanding warrants" or 10,000? I don't think you have any clue.

It's one thing to spout impressive-sounding statistics. It's something else entirely to spout them in ignorance. Your inability to back up yout statistic with anything except irrelevant links speaks more loudly than perhaps you'd like.

Why are you asking ME these questions?
Do your own research, or take your questions directly to the author.

Good Lord.

She gave the number of warrants in the article, so you didn't read the article very closely.

You can email Heather Mac Donald HERE:

If that link doesn't work, there is a direct link at the top of her article where you can contact MS Mac Donald, HERE:

Take care.

No, sir. I am challenging YOU to support an allegation that YOU made. YOU apparently have no access to the data, nor do YOU appear to understand the statistic that YOU rovided. You're just passing on a Big Number That Sounds Important -- but you seem to have no clue as to its meaning.

In the end, all you've done is spread a rumor. That's worse than useless.

r9etb:>"No, sir. I am challenging YOU to support an allegation that YOU made."<

- An "allegation" I made? Show me the post number, where I personally made that "allegation."

Freeper Ramonan stated it on #21:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1330693/replies?c=21
I gave you a link to Heather Mac Donald's quote in a story by Jack Dunphy, who is an officer in the Los Angeles Police Department:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1330693/replies?c=29

Don't you ever google?
Try Googling this"
"In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide"
It appears your too lazy to do that, so I'll even give you the search results link:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22In+Los+Angeles%2C+95+percent+of+all+outstanding+warrants+for+homicide%22&btnG=Google+Search

>"In the end, all you've done is spread a rumor."<

- Really? Well, if you want to go on your little *jihad* with me, about this statistic, then you better first call up Dana Rohrabacher, Chris Cox, and a half dozen other Congressmen who have posted that statistic on their websites:
http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:xc55NsdDmzQJ:rohrabacher.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx%3FDocumentID%3D5108+%22In+Los+Angeles,+95+percent+of+all+outstanding+warrants+for+homicide%22&hl=en

Heather Mac Donald did this piece for the Los Angeles City Journal. Don't you think that the city of the LA., and the liberal L.A. Times wouldn't have ripped her story to shreds, if it wasn't true?

- Heather Mac Donald has also testified before the Subcommittee on Civil and Constitutional Rights of the Committee of the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives.
- She isn't a Bucahanite, Bucko.

So...find a story that proves her quote wrong:
" In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens."

Provide evidence to the contrary.

But it appears that you just like to argue.

You say on your home page:
http://www.freerepublic.com/~r9etb/

That you're an orbitoligist. That's eye surgery, correct? What kind of surgeon can't do his own research? wow.

Your posts indicate a rather lazy and argumentative sort of personality. Let's see you prove otherwise.
I'm betting you won't. (or can't).

Speaking of this type of personality, one called Terry Anderson last night quoting scripture, trying to convince someone that a good Christian would open up the borders to anyone. Terry asked him the same question we ask all the
FROBL's....HOW MANY would you allow in this country?

He wouldn't answer either. They never do.

I asked you a simple question: what does the statistic mean?

I'm not quibbling about Heather McDonald, I am simply asking you to provide the hard numbers to support what you said.

You've finally done so. Thank you.

- PING to any law enforcement folks who would like to clarify the outstanding warrant process, and Mexico's refusal to extradite homicide suspects.

>"I'm not quibbling about Heather McDonald, I am simply asking you to provide the hard numbers to support what you said. You've finally done so. Thank you. "<

OK FRiend, perhaps I misunderstood you. But those numbers were in the story I linked to. Perhaps you hadn't read it?

The Illegal-Alien Crime Wave, by Heather Mac Donald

I believe an outstanding warrant is one in which the guy goes on "the lamb", and can't be found. I'm not a law enforcement officer, so I don't know this to be factual, but in this article, and the article by the Orange County DA investigator, they relate that "60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California are illegal aliens":

Once these gang bangers commit a murder, they hightail it back over the border. Since Mexico usually refuses to extradite criminals because of our death penalty, they are rarely brought to justice.

More on that at this LINK:
AMERICA'S LEAST WANTED

So my personal conjecture is the reason the number of outstanding arrest warrants is 95% illegal aliens is because they have left the country, and can't be extradited.

I have a personal issue with this: a friend's son was murdered; shot in the chest during a holdup, while working at an all night gas station. (He was putting himself through college; doing one of those jobs that Americans supposedly won't do)

His murderer was ID'd from the store videos, but never caught; he was a gang banger from south of the border. The cameras at the gas station got a good picture of him.

That gang banger had gone back to Mexico. My friends' only son is dead and buried, meanwhile his murderer is free to victimize more people.

We have a Freeper here, who is always railing against anyone who talks about the problem of illegal alien criminals. He/she insists that pointing out this problem is racist, and then brings up some crime committed by an American citizen. (As if it were relevant to the discussion)

Check out this story to read about some of these real victims:

CRIME VICTIMS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS

- Well, until a person has a close friend or family member victimized, they usually don't understand that innocent peoples lives are being destroyed. For me, that stat is no longer just a meaningless number.

A Freeper who is in law enforcement sent me this Freepmail below, in regard to this "95% outstanding warrants for homicide are illegal aliens" statistic:

"As former Law Enforcement, I knew this statistic before I retired. There are tons of crooks that committed some crime here, bugged out, and are now living comfortably in " their country" Mexico.

I formulated a truth while in my 31 year career. That is:
"Statistics don't mean squat unless you are one"
EXAMPLE: Most car crashes are NOT news unless someone dies. However, if some Illegal hits you (don't seem to matter that he has no license or insurance, and the car is not in his name, and he is drunk-driving), you are now paralyzed. Now that Statistic has meaning for you.

I was Calif. Highway Patrol. I knew of at least TEN instances like the example. Even if the guy got arrested at the scene, he would be given bail, and disappear " south of the border".
