Some great analysis on how Governor Schwarzennegger isn't starving education of it's funding.

McClintock PING!

BTW, would anyone have an interest in a formal McClintock PING list?

Sure. This is one guy who actually offers up substance in whatever he says, whether one agrees on not. In short, the guy has gravitas.

$9,508 per pupil?

That's considerably more than it costs for a quality private education here.

Actually, it's WAY more.

I can tell you from personal experience that most of that money never gets within a mile of the classroom.

or a total of $285,240 per classroom

If that is starving, I'd hate to see what bloated is...

On Long Island, it is more like 14K per pupil. California has it cheap.

Actually they are probably about equal when you factor in cost of living.

"I thought Arnold cut spending."

Common misconception. His budget for next years increases spending by 7 Billion dollars. He is merely slowing the rate of spending growth.

Oh, I know!

I think that is well past time to take control of our schools back from the NEA and other socialist groups that have more or less ruined our educational quality and replaced it with a political agenda.

Have your priced housing in SF, LA or San Diego lately? A modest home is 600,000.

Well I actually own property in LA, Orange and Riverside Counties, so I have some vague familiarity with the market.

About 1.1% of orginal purchase price plus 2% per year increase thereafter typically.

Nope. That's why the recall was started. However the Democrats learned nothing from it and continue calling for raised taxes.
