Thanks for the posting.

Nor was she Bi. And she was not Goth.
And whatdayaknow? FR got a mention:
Someone else watching the case with interest called my attention to the Free Republic article again. FreeRepublic.com is, in their own words; "...the premiere online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web..." and I am sure the article I've linked was posted on their forum as just another example of our society's moral decay. I get a bit more conservative each year, so the preceding statement is not as smartassed as it sounds...but it's still a little smartassed; I'm not a liberal, but mainstream conservatism still spooks me on occasion.
Whatever the reason the article was there, the link actually takes you to Free Republic's messageboard, and the article is only the conversation "starter".
On this page of the thread, someone saw fit to pretty much post every entry I've written about this case in their entirety. Personally I don't know what to think of that. The poster does properly attribute the text to me with a link, but not in a very obvious way, given the text-heavy format. That, and a note to "Native Texun" who posted; I'm a he.
The board starts getting interesting when a user going by the nick "wideeyedidied" starts posting. He is associated somehow with a website called www.artandviolence.com. This alone starts some of the apparent regulars to twittering, but worse, he's apparently defending Sarah Kolb. I'm not so surprised - rarely do high-profile crimes like this lack for defenders of the accused. And even if I think it's obvious that Sarah Kolb and Corey Gregory very likely planned and executed a brutal and cold-blooded murder, I'm not going to fault someone for reflexively taking the opposite position. It's normal, believe it or not. And as I am a performing artist, I won't criticize artandviolence.com for their name.

I'll have some comments and questions about Steve's (PlanetHuff) comments later.
The most recent entry describes Sarah's personality test. Did you see that?

Here is the entry I was referring to at Planet Huff:

Sarah-Boo VII: Plays With Demons
Yes, I did. Weird stuff & I say 'weird' rather than 'eerie' because the 'supposed' fact that she took that many tests (and then re-took one) and then posted the results maybe tells us a lot more about her than the 'supposed' results. Just my opinion, but I think she was playing the 'Hey look at me, I'm a Drama Queen' and probably skewed her answers to get the results she wanted. Noted also that the posting was in 2002--she would have been 14 or thereabouts.
Read her journal entries on that same link. She was a person of deep pain and apparently self-loathing. No, I'm not defending her.
Fact of the matter is that we don't know whether or not Adrianne was pregnant because, so far, there is nothing in the public record to tell us one way or the other....so far as I know. If you know of something which conclusively answers that question, do share. But that article only explains why two charges have so far been filed. It doesn't rule out the possibility that a third charge could be filed at a later date, in the event that prosecution on the two currently filed charges doesn't end in quilty verdicts. Nor does it rule out the possibility that a third possible charge has been withheld to use as leverage vs the defense in plea bargaining. Would be a very unusual case for the prosecution to have laid all their cards out on the table & so early in a case.
I read those I think. That's the same page where she reveals the personality tests and the other banter--Dec '02, isn't it? Or did I miss a page? I didn't think you were defending her...I just have a different (and less charitable) take on her.

(read "wuts on my mind")
I had not seen those...good thing you left me a trail of breadcrumbs. (BTW, the links don't seem to be working now, but I was there earlier.)
Noted that one of the comments to her was that she was 'self-indulged', which was exactly what I was thinking. Not that that's unusual for a 14 YO, nor is it unusual for a 14 YO to be fixated on their appearance & not like what they see in the mirror. More interesting (to me, anyway) is that she went out of her way to try to prove her point by putting herself on exhibit with the photographic 'evidence'. Seems to me that someone who truly didn't like what they saw in the mirror would be trying to hide rather than saying 'Hey, look at me; I'm ugly.'
This is why we have a death penalty. Of course, the 'Rats won't let us put this dog down.
I came across this anf thought it may interest some of you. http://www.crimelibrary.com/criminal_mind/psychology/psychopath/1.html

here's the latest story on Adrianne's accused murderer. Based on my experience with the Rock Island County court system and the personal knowledge I have on Teros and Stengal, both have teenage daughters.
What are people "around town" saying?
What do you mean? Everyone I know is completely in shock that something like this could happen around here. The Quad Cities is a typically considered to be a very safe, nice place to raise a family. I have been here my entire life and would live no where else. If I didn't answer your question please ask a more detailed question.
