uh--Gregory is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of concealing a homicide. The purpose of the investigation & trial is to short out all the 'he said/ she saids' & try to arrive at the truth of what happened. I think it's safe to say that we're going to hear a lot of conflicting versions of 'the truth' going forward. For all we really & truly 'know', Gregory may have killed her...or perhaps the other male occupant of the car...or maybe even someone else that has yet to be publicly tied to the case. Or maybe they ALL participated in killing Reynolds. Yet to be determined.

Who is "defending" Sarah? No one has said anything like that. It appears that your formulation is that we either accept that she is a Satan-worshipping drug addict, or we are "defending" her murdering someone. To the extent you believe that, you should avoid referring to others as crackpots.

It appears that she has murdered someone in cold blood, and dismembered the corpse. We do not need to heap extra evil on her at this point in order to explain the deed. The evil embodied in her acts is quite enough.

>>Yes, really. A lot of folks need to brush up on their reading skills (and wideeye needs to brush up on his writing skills).<<

Broad-brushed slams are unnecessary. People, if they want to be understood, need to write clearly as in - "following is a quote from Sarah."

Wideeyed just seemed to be rambling from the start so I guess that's how the rest of us unobservant "readers" followed his less-than-clear and/or lucid writing and train of thought.

The burden of understanding is first on the issuer of the message. Wideeye's message could have benefited from some capitalization too.

If you'd do some research on Goths, you'd learn they have a fascination with death and the dark side.

>>A lot of posters have been way too quick to draw conclusions...crap, we don't even know why the alleged perps have each been charged with two counts of first degree murder and that's just for starters. <<

Still *majoring* on the two counts? Sheesh ....

"We do not need to heap extra evil on her at this point in order to explain the deed. The evil embodied in her acts is quite enough."

I never did such regarding Sarah but by your definition,
"heaping extra evil on a person", it's done every day by many many people regarding people in the news discussed in this or any forum on the internet or any where else.

yeah. my first post was while i was on a lunch break at school and i was pushing so i wouldn't be late. not to mention i was a little hot-headed because of the close-mindedness of which i posted about. i apologize for any misconceptions made because of that rush.

ellil, (i don't recall if that's right... i just clicked for the reply button, but it's similar) thanks for the article. it's interesting to see cory gregory's side of the story. though it really doesn't seem to help him...

i mean, what person in their right mind would "just watch" someone kill another person? and since he knew the places of the burning/dismemberment it seems he must have been there while it was taking place... and if you can easily stand by while someone's being maimed like that, you definately served just as much purpose as the killer did.

So how did you find this thread and are you participating in others on the Internet about the matter?

Your change of thinking is interesting ...

Informative article here--Gregory & Kolb enter 'innocent' pleas. Third teen arrested, identified (Nathan Gaudet, 16) & charged as a juvenile with 'concealing a homicide. Gaudet allegedly furnished the saw used to dismember Adrianne's body as well as being on the scene of the dismemberment (but not the murder) and when the body parts were moved to the Black Hawk site. More info on McKittrick, the other male occupant of the car. McKittrick has not been charged & doesn't look like he will be (my opinion).

I have my doubts about Gregory being someone who just watched. (There is a lot of new info in the link I posted that addresses your other comments.) In any case, what we have here are some real sick puppies.

Anyway, am glad that you're contributing to the thread. Also understand the limitations on your time--most of the info that's available on the net has been posted or linked to here on this thread. But I want to stress that your local perspective & possible access to other info is a valuable contribution.

Encourage you to use capitalization when you post here at FR--just makes it so much easier for us to read. Most of the brains here didn't grow up on ICQ, etc., so are trained in a bit more formal recognition system. It's one of those 'When in Rome' things. Again, thanks for your contributions & hope you continue.

Nothing significant in the way of new info, but is descriptive of the courtroom scene.

And, finally explained--Why two charges are filed in only 1 death:

http://www.qctimes.com/internal.php?story_id=1044783&l=1&t=Local+News&c=2,1044783

''Under Illinois law, prosecutors can use one or more of three differing standards to apply to a murder charge. Each suggests a different theory of murder. By filing multiple charges for a single murder, prosecutors are allowed to argue multiple theories before a judge or jury.''

Your first paragraph says it all.... I keep wondering myself.... I think back to a book my dead read, called "Degeneration." Forget the author, but the book was written in the 1800's and is as relevant as ever.
