My taste in Japanese films is simple. Any Godzilla movie without baby godzilla, and any blind samurai movie.
I find your views amusing only at best and at worst ?!?!?!?
BUT, you seem to be missing the point that everyone else here understands.
Granted not many member of this BBS might be not remotely conected to the OSCARs, MPAA, actors or the entertaiment industry, but that doesn't limit our posting of our opinions on these current issues.
Most people here are saying that even if you use any of the OSCARs requirements or the "dynamics" of common Oscar history, the fact remains that the "Passion of the Christ" should have been nominated for more award catagories. When you compare it's numerous positive attributes to other previous OSCAR winners, this film was boycotted from more of the OSCAR nominations.
ATTENTION: People should understand that the OSCARs are a "good ol' boy club" producer's award ie. producers awarding other producers. The real acting awards are the SAG awards voted on by actors and the director's awards are given at the DGA voted on by directors and so on. You understand?
