Morning business?

Morning business can actually take place any time of the day or night. It's really a term for a grab-bag period when routine stuff is done, and when senators and reps can get some face time before a microphone to blather on about any subject. At least in the House, they limit the time alloted for such gabfests.

Does anyone have the full text of Boxer's campaign letter that has been referenced here?

I was gone for awhile and didn't hear anything from it!

Why the quorum call now?

It's usually a device to keep the senate in session even though no senator is on the floor. The Dims are probably trying to decided whether to use up their remaining time or wrap it up now.

I think the reason there are so many quorum calls is because the dems are having to get together and spell architect and liar---

They have to get their talking points ---

in other words, they is dumb!

Will Lugar let us know what they decide?

Someone will eventually, because they have to formally wrap up business for the day.

Lamar is an egghead, what can I say, but he fancies himself being helpful to the Administration, I'm sure.

I realize he could be used as fodder by the Left. But look, Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma - as rockribbed Conservative as they come - did one thing that Lamar also did, which I used in Lamar's defense - Senator Inhofe quoted from and praised the joint editorial written by Kissinger and Schulze, and asked it be inserted in the record. Exactly as Lamar had done, at least in that one respect.

It's just that Inhofe is no egghead, and Lamar is, which is why the rest of what they said evoked rather different reactions in Condi supporters, no doubt. :o)
