Simply put...England's laws do not mirror ours! They have the ability to round up trouble, revoke citizenship and deport it.   Whereas, our laws in America are more complicated.   However, as time goes on, and if more terrorism hits America again, political correctness won't hold.   For the good of the whole, people will have to be deported in England, and maybe, eventually here.

I'm tempted to come up with a crackpot "religion" of my own with 300 holy days a year that we must take off to observe, the, errrrm, downing of beer, and of course we would need a Porche to pray in during our traveling to and fro.. its what the "founder did" and oh wait a sec, theres something in our "holy scriptures" about pay rises too...

The funny thing is you're not far off. Under all that drab garb, Muslim women like to have lots of gold, jewelry and nice clothes right down to the skin just as much as Western women. Women in Iran will dress up very, very nicely for a party, but throw on the hijab just for the trip so they don't get busted on the way.

What astonishes me is their propensity to get "offended" so easiy by the customs of a host contry.
They could cut short the "offences" by going back to ther Muslim "Paradise" countries, where they came from. It is not Europe which must accomodate them, but the other way around.

I had a thought about that....I expect a society in terms of 18th century American Judeo Christian morality will be inforced...if not more strict as in the type of society called for in the Mosaic Code!

The star guest, U.S. Senator Joe Biden, ranking Democrat on the Senate foreign relations committee, was missing. The organizers kept saying he was on his way. Moderator David Ignatius, a Washington Post columnist, apologized for the fact that wine had been served, upsetting the Muslim guests. Waiters cleared the offending glasses.

They also removed the menus since the hotel had planned to serve non-hallal meat, breaching Islamic dietary rules. Even the soup spoons were withdrawn -- erroneously, it transpired.

One participant asked whether different cultures could not tolerate each other's dietary customs. Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi responded that tolerance was fine but it did not mean people should not respect each other's religious values.

If wine was served, his delegation could not participate in the meal, he said.
