The EPA is funding a lot of the "smart growth" going on around the country.

They are also controlling transportation projects through the grants they are pushing.

They have broad, deep tentacles in our society.

There would be no need to actually call the bonds just purchasing them in the market and letting the interest go to the government would do.

This would not be a good idea at any rate. Jefferson was the last president to do such a thing that I am aware of and he had no understanding of economics or finance.
