I will vote against my school board members that waste
time and money to put stickers back in school books.

We're discussing the Cobb County School Board here. I wouldn't automatically assume any of them can do long division.Oh, I see you've been here then. ;-)

Just to make the point, I should mention that I knew a
fourth grade teacher in the Sixties that didn't know what
a footnote was. She taught my Sunday school class and
we were reading aloud. One of the other children asked
a question that she didn't know the answer to. I told her
that the answer was explained in the footnote (I was in
the second or third grade at the time and my mother had
recently taught me about footnotes). I couldn't get her to
understand what I was talking about. That was a few
counties north of Cobb. My wife was in her fourth grade
class a few years later. My mother told me years later
that many of the teachers back then were hired during
WWII with only 2 year certificates and grandfathered
for life with no further education required.
Stickers; I have a better solution. Have every parent
that wants a Taliban education for their child just tear
out the pages that refer to evolution. To bad we can't
send them back in time.

I have to be honest. I feel a bit sorry for you. Do you have any idea how old this thread is? Are you struggling this badly with how you are 'entertained'? You vastly underestimate the entertainment value of your thesis. I think you have a gold mine here.
Sheesh! Donh, I am going to do you a favor. I'm going to make fun of you. I bet, FOR ABSOLUTE SURE, you are not a golfer. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would you EVER play a round of golf alone.
I'll bet you're just as good at shooting barrels in a fish.
This must be true. Has to be. Why else would you troll about in threads this old? I wasn't aware that arguments had an expiration date. Is there a radioactive decay rate?
Especially regarding a topic that you are SURE is worthy of the distilled mockery you posted for me. I mean, heck, how logical? of you?
Well? First? of? all? That's not distilled mockery, it is raw, sprawling mockery. Second of all, of course it's not "logical". Mocking generally employs analogical, not logical reasoning. Thirdly, yes, I'm completely sure your thesis is deserving of more mockery than I have the capacity to supply. It's patently obvious that orthodox Tibetan polyandrous buddists have the best sex.

Oh. I didn't know my GUTS comments were still reverberating after all these months that people would still be linking to them.
