Wonder where he goes to take a shower/bath, and where is Roanoke, Louisiana?

This is real. I hurt 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

DUH...!

I just love reality, especially when it smacks you back into it after you forgot your brain 3 years earlier in Tucson!

Gee whiz. I really don't see where all the hostility is coming from for this guy? I didn't read anything implying he thinks he is a victim.

He isn't hurting anyone and isn't asking for government handouts. I've seen a lot of posts supporting peoples' expression of faith; why is this guy thrown under the bus?

Want to go on a ten year walk all by yourself? Wanna talk about scary? Try doing this."

Why the heck would I want to?

And some have to muster the strength to board the "Step Master" in front of the television for exercise!

"I pray over and over and over again, please Lord, get me to a dry, safe place tonight."

He sure is carrying plenty of gear in those pics. Doesn't he have a tent?

Well i say, God bless him. Article is kinda misnamed. He plans to walk for 10 years and is finishing up his third. But he is not bothering anybody. And he is meeting people and going to over 1,000 Church of the Brethren's. So God Bless him.

This guy seems to be a little "wacky". I mean, I could see this trek if he was trying to visit all the Burger Kings in the country.

LOL
I've always pictured El Paso to Texarcana but:
Either El Paso to Orange or Dalhart to Brownsville would be a respectable strolls.

He said that while Texas is the friendliest state he has walked through so far ...

I guess not many folks are going to pick up on that one, but I will.

It is not for nothing that no other state has this bumper sticker which you see everywhere in Texas:

TEXAS! I wasn't born here, but I move here as fast as I could!"

It sounds like this man may not be quite in his right mind. What is the "Church of the Brethren" anyway?
