Virginia, actually. Northern Virginia, in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. I used to live in Alexandria. The neighborhood where I lived is rapidly becoming a barrio. 'Latin Kings' gang tags everywhere, a couple of stabbings in the complex where I lived.

Broke the lease on my apartment to get out. Between the incessant, 24 hour a day noise and having my car vandalized a couple of times and having drunken 'latino immigrants' pounding on my door, none of whom spoke a word of English, that was it.

Ain't multiculturalism grand? Machete murders coming to a neighborhood near you. And to think that not long ago this was a civilized country until Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy decided we were letting in too many white northern European Christians and got legislation passed to let mostly cultural strangers into our country. Gangs are a crime problem, not an immigration problem.

Example: Houston has the 2nd largest num,ber of immigrants in the nation. Houston got its gang problem under control in the 80s through increased traditional law enforcement techniques including more patrols, under cover agents and specialized task forces.

Los Angles has an out of control gang problem.

Los Angeles, which is many times larger than Houston, has one-third the police officers and treats gang crime as an immigration problem which can only be solved by the federal government.

As long as local police departments pass the buck on gang crime instead of tackling it head on, the gangs will continue to proliferate.

Just read an article today describing how these same gangs have become sophisticated practitioners of witness intimidation. Prosecutors are unable to put these thugs in jail because witnesses conveniently forget facts they knew before, lie on the stand or just disappear.

CD's and DVD's are now being made in inner city Baltimore, identifying by name people street gangs suspect as being witnesses against them and warning anyone who cooperates with the police that they will be killed. To drive the point home one DVD showed three dead people on the back cover with the words "snitch prevention" written over the top.

These animals are nothing more than domestic terrorists and it's about time the FBI treated them that way.
