I agree, I can't seem to get over the fact that Marta must have been a terrific and strong woman for Rush during some very turbulent times in his life and she did help convince him to lose weight, stay on an healthy diet and not be such a bombastic blowhard. I think she must have greatly polished and finessed him and was a beneficial source of helping him experience such a grand leap in his professional life.

From what little Rush has said, I do not believe Marta would coldly take his money and run. I say she would still rather be married to him.

I like Rush as long as he sticks to politics. Analyzing someone else's love life is clearly above his pay grade, and is not what I tune into his show to hear.

Hardly. I've been married to the same woman for 27 years. Rush is too much into himself to stay interested in ANY woman for that long.

Rush filed for divorce from Marta on 12/21/04. He tried to do it privately, slipping away to Key West with his attorney. He did manage to have the divorce and settlement sealed. The settlement papers were 18 pages in length. So I think Marta probably did all right.

Gosh why so secret? Must be the shame of hypocracy. Most men and some women who point fingers (and do it for a living) loathe seeing their own reflections. But the dumbed down minions from all political parties keep on tooting their ma$ter$ "horns".

I hate to speculate on this, but Rush is into toys, and a woman, eventually, becomes just a toy to Rush, that he tires of, and gets rid of.
