"Again, they forget the human rights of the Iraqis who lived under Saddam's sadistic reign, and how the US has liberated millions in Iraq...and Iran...and Afghanistan."

We have violated people's rights to be dictated, and the rights of the dictators at every turn.

And yet, I still sleep soundly at night.

LOL. Which gave me a thought . . .

Why don't we unshackle a few of those "humans" being abused in Guantanamo, let them loose to roam free in a rather large room, then toss in a few of the Human Rights Pukes who think they know how to do ALL THINGS better than the experts and let them show us how to do it properly?

Yes, we'll withdraw all the guards. Yes, we'll let the Pukes do anything and everything they wanna do. We'll just simply lock the door behind them, and take the night off.

We'll let our warriors have a night of sound sleep for a change.

Then . . . we'll see who is alive the next morning.

THAT is the problem with all the Chicken Littles of the world . . . they're all theory and no practice. If they don't like how the grown-ups are running things . . . they're welcome to TRY ANYTHING THEY'D LIKE TO TRY.

But they themselves must put their own theories to the test . . . with REAL, LIVE, TERRORIST-ANIMALS as the subjects of their fanciful BS.

Methinks all this nonsense would stop overnight.

It's awful, damn easy to stomp your feet and throw a hissy-fit on the world stage when you're thousands of miles away from danger . . . but when you PERSONALLY have to get in the gutter with a religious zealot who'll cut your throat the second you turn your back without batting an eye, mamby-pamby theories will be tossed out like the trash they are.

The plights of the Iranians who participated in the Olympics, the soccer players, the genecide, the rape rooms....You may not have heard of the human rights problems in Iraq for the first 7 or 8 times, but I certainly did.

Michael, where have you been anyway?

I wouldn't say we should forsake the ability to defend human rights but we've done a pretty crappy job of it over the years.

And the liberals used it to criticize the Cold War. Now that we are removing dictators, they turn around and say it's no big deal.

I acquiesce, and beg your pardon. I wasn't aware of the human rights problem in Iraq until we invaded Iraq.

Having said that, while WMD might have been the "reason" for invading Iraq, do you think it possible that Bush knew all too well of the atrocities to human life by the hands of Saddam furthered his resolve to oust Saddam from power?

Now that we've not witnessed the seisure of piles of WMD, it is my opinion that the US has done a good thing - for te people of Iraq, and Iran, and Afghanistan, and US, and France, and Spain, and ....the world.

And the US will continue to do so.

My solution: put all these "human rights" groups together with the terrorists (I mean insurgents, freedom fighters, whatever they want to call them) on an island, then the poor, innocent prisoners could be treated humanly, with lot of love, and with full understanding of their hard childhood. Bonus: the US military won't have to deal with them any longer, everybody is going to live happily ever after.

The elitist loony left insists our use of pink panties and ridicule damaged terrorist psyches far more than anything Saddam's murderous regime ever did. They will say anything as long as the US gets blamed.
