My thought exactly. I wonder if a few of them are being shown the door while the entire remaining staff goes through "sensitivity and awareness" training.

NOTE TO SELF: When I get to a position where I can hire a nanny to watch my kids part time, instruct her to call me immediately if my children try to wear "pro-choice and I vote" t-shirts.

"We're generally not out to convert people, as Born Agains are."

As opposed to the tolerant and loving Muslims who hate Hitler because he didn't finish the job?

The swastika over time has meant many things. Unfortunately, that armband is seared in all of our minds today being associated with a very dark time in history.

Yes, Prince Harry, it was in very poor taste.

Some luverly stuff on 'ere. Lots of give and take. No blanket views across the board- thank goodness. Trotted off to the local convenience store for the Toronto Star- nothing in it re the Prince. Maybe news did not hit yet. It is hard for an ex-pat like myself. I hate unearned priviledge and crisp haughty, veddy British accents- I know exactly why they are used. To let snot noses like myself to steer clear.

Yet for all that, I just cannot bring myself to call for an end to Royalty- God knows why- I don't.

I hope that various American denigrators of their American President when overseas, feel deep down, they should keep their mouth shut. I just cannot break free of some inner feeling about the institution.

Still, people are right- to some extent the Royals are on self-destruct.

That's not the way it works here. If it's a different article from a different source, it's allowed to be posted.

Because we are tired of seeing the PR bandwidth clogged with repeated posts about the exact same incident. The Sky and BBC articles were basically the same and added nothing new or relevant to the story.

Who is "we?" I just don't get where it's your business to skulk around looking for people to admonish over something utterly insignificant, something that affects you in no way, as if you're a grade-school hall monitor. And who are you to decide what's relevant to the other thousands of posters here?

I rarely defend these inbred Royal clowns, but Harry's costume was a goof on the Nazis, not their victims. Why isn't anybody pointing this out. Turning something into a party costume is hardly a sign of respect. Why do you think Blacks get offended when somebody dresses up with Blackface. Do you think the drunken morons who dress up like the Pope for every Halloween bar loop are trying to honor the Catholic Church or say they support it's values?

I am not the only one who finds it annoying, especially since it's relatively easy to avoid duplicate postings (unless they are posted within nanoseconds of each other, which happens once in a while).

And the last time I checked I still have my first ammendment rights to complain about whatever I want to complain about without people like you deciding that I don't.

Maybe you need a grade-school monitor to give you a piece of her mind (or a spanking) since you insist on acting like a grade-schooler yourself with your bratty "you have no right to tell me what to do attitude".

It's the slouch that's most indicative of leadership material.

Well, if he got into Sandhurst, they would take care of that slouch soon enough.

Not too smart.

All that inbreeding can't be very good for the royals.

See, why did you take what I said in a negative way? I did not imply that it was a bad thing that Born Agains try to convert people, did I? I was just explaining what Jews believe. Why are you so touchy?

[I think it's called rebellion. In the midst of the Iran hostage crisis I went to a halloween party dressed as a mullah.]

I am very interested in knowing about the specifics of this.

If you don't mind, would you please let me know:

What year was this?
How old were you?
What kind of Halloween party was this?
What did your costume look like?
What was going on in your mind as you walked around in your Mullah costume?

I know this seems like a grilling but I really don't mean to put you on the defensive. I'm just trying to find out what constitutes a "rebellion" today and you did something more daring than I ever thought of doing and I'm curious as to why.

The guys a 20 year old child of privalege, who most likely wore it simply for the shock value, and never thought much of the large implications since, unlike most other 20 year olds who do stupid things like this (and yes, I know pleanty that do)... he lives in a fishbowl.

Definately in poor taste.. but damn, I think just being 20 requires you act in poor taste far more often than you should for most, particularly certain overprivaleged, folks.

"Jews, as a rule, don't push Judaism onto people. We're generally not out to convert people, as Born Agains are."

Here's your whole quote. In this context 'Born Agains' *push* Christianity on people and the tense of the comment is negative.

Muslims do not push Islam on people - it is a free choice. Of course, if you do not freely choose to convert to Islam they'll cut your head off.

But you're free to choose.

Frankly, Jews should try a little evangelism. With scantly more Jews in the wolrd now then there were in the 1930's the Jews need a population boost. And why not give the 'Born Agains' and the Muslims some competition?
