They seem to think IT means end user desktops and all the rest of the infrastructure runs on magic. I say have them work in the real world of constantly changing technology, shifting standards and be on call 24/7/365 and then tell me how easy it is and how overpaid techies are. Yep. Then throw in validations of various systems that are required in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical and it really gets hairy.
