Have you ever considered doing a daily hosting of these pics? Then you could distribute them via bittorrent, for the dial-up impaired. After a few hours the bandwidth use by some of these pic servers start to deny use. Bittorrent centralized hosting of the pics would alieviate this common bottlenecking of data transmission.

Way above my understanding/pay grade. Only use pic servers when I have to...try to stay away from some of the problem ones.

Man, downloading all that is rough on us dial up types!

Here's a suggestion to make downloading easier when using dial-up: (1) Open a browser window and download some other, longer thread(s) to read. (2) Open up a graphics thread, like this one. (3) Minimize the graphics thread so it can download while you are reading the other threads. That's what I used to do when I had dial-up, anyway.

I'm betting a lot of uninformed folks are just now "getting it" for the first time...all because of political cartoons.
