Gingrich ain't gonna run.
He has too much personal baggage, like having divorce papers delivered to just before she operated on for cancer and fooling around with an "adminstrative assistant" who is now his wife. Never mind appealing to the moderates, he'd lose a lot of conservative Republicans right there.

True. I wonder if this is Newt saying that he might run or just the media acting stupid again!

Newt and Mclame could fight to see who will be the biggest loser in our primaries.

Given his personal conduct and his Bush-bashing, maybe he should be thinking of running for the Democrat nomination in 2008.
I don't think a "White House run" is realistic for Gingrich in 2008...but maybe if he plays his cards right he can be invited to the White House Easter egg roll in 2008.

Lets see here, Newt (a married man) was boffin his intern about the same time he would have led an impeachment effort against a sitting president for boffin his intern or lying about it.
Newt is smoking a particularly powerful psychotropic to even hallucinate the possibility of a Newt Presidential run.

I seem to remember him giving the Republicans their first majority in Congress after more than 40 years as a minority party. He wasn't Speaker of the House then, and Bill Clinton had made Democrats look really bad.
Newt's record as Speaker was ghastly: perhaps you recall Newt's "Government Shutdown" fiasco that essentially got Bill Clinton re-elected? Or perhaps you recall the many times where Gingrich got rolled by Clinton on various "deals?"
Newt was and is a great rabble-rouser. But he was a horrible Speaker.

Newt has already been savaged. They will bring up things like his affair and his first marraige. Of course, this should not matter, as we were told in the 90's, but you know the hypocritical game.
I like Newt, but I am not sure he is the best guy.

I would vote for Gingrich ANYTIME!!!

Not sure you are serious but - Gingrich has been demonized in the press for about 10 years now. There is a hatred of him on the left - akin the hatred of Tom Delay.
Newt also has a horrible track record with ex-wives - keeps trading them in for newer models under really nasty circumstances.
No way he would get elected.
