The papers need to save face and investigate the fraud. Otherwise bloggers and talk radio will get all the credit.

I can't take credit for it, but I don't know who came up with it so I can tell you. I wish I could.

Dave Ross is pretty much dismissing all of this on the radio as we speak, suggesting it isn't enough to change the result of the election - as though these examples are not representative of the overall corruption of the process.

I posted this on the other thread:

Bob Holmgren said yesterday that he voted on behalf of his late wife, Charlette Holmgren, who died Sept. 29. The West Seattle man filled out his own ballot and hers, and signed both of them.

"Her vote was important to her," Holmgren said. "She was very strongly against Governor-elect Gregoire." Election officials said all signatures on absentee ballots were doubled-checked against the signature on record.

I'm not one of those who would claim that Republicans would never, ever cheat, but does this phrasing strike anyone else as suspect?

Funny how everybody who is dead seems to be a democrat...all the more reason to be a Republican.

That gives me an idea for a new tag line.

Bill's just like the PR China huys who said "What Tiananmen Square Massacre?"

Who was it who said if you tell a lie often enough, the "people" will believe you?

He's not in denial. Remember to parse parse parse. I have never seen a dead person vote either. In fact, the only thing I've ever seen a dead person do is lie in a coffin. As for his EXPECTations, I expect that he expects the proper officials to do the voting for the deceased.

I see what you mean. Why is he referring to "Governor-Elect Gregoire" as G-E if his wife was so against her? Unless it was a politically mixed marriage, and if that's the case, how can we expect that he followed his wife's wishes?

Something unusual is at work here. Normally they would be helping to smooth things over for the leftists.

I don't know, but I smell a 'Rat here somewhere. One thing I've learned over the past years is never, ever trust a 'Rat, or their media shills. I'm wondering about some kind of rope-a-dope deal, but I'm not sure of it's form just yet.

These are not indications of fraud," said Bill Huennekens, King County's elections supervisor. "Fraud is a concerted effort to change an election."

What about illegal? What does he call illegal effort that changed an election -democracy?

If I remember correctly, the WA statute covering contesting an election does not say that fraud has to be proved to invalidate an election, only that there were illegal votes counted in sufficient number to bring the results into question.

The Republicans deserve to lose. They are just doing a miserable job in meeting the needs of these dead voters.

The Democrats feel their pain. The Democrats value their votes, showing them respect by using their absentee ballots over and over in many different precincts through which the deceased probably enjoyed strolling, before assuming ambient temperature.

It's a compassion thing, about which, as everyone knows, the Republicans know nothing. Any attempt to disenfranchise these voters by denying them absentee ballots is ipso facto unfair.

Who deserves an absentee ballot more than the ABSENT dead Democrat? After all, they are truly absent.
