The reason it is not smart to associate yourself as a politician with ANY entertainers, is they are addicts to booze, drugs and sex. Not all of them mind you, but the vast majority of them. Sure, but none as vulgar as Kid Rock, and I wouldn't want any of the ones that act in immoral ways to perform at a Presidential innauguration.

It's a party for Barbara and Jenna, not the Innauguration Ball or any function for the President and First Lady. Kid Rock has performed for Colin Powell, Tommy Franks and on primetime network country music award shows to overwhelming applause. He can, and has MANY times, as he did with Colin Powell and Tommy Franks, kept it clean. Do you really think that at this event he won't?
