"by your standard every bar brawl between a drunk college kid and an overzealous bouncer which results with a death is justified."
No, not at all. It is just that I think that not every bar brawl between a drunk college kid and a bouncer which results in a death is necessarily unjustified and unprofessional.
"Wow, looks like the NAACP has this one right."
There is a first time for everything, but I doubt very much that the NAACP has it right this time.
For every one you do, I'll find you 10 that got'em, granted, I know several biker bars that don't have bouncers, simply because the guys inside do the work themselves (biker bar not to be confused with club house).
Most bars simply have them, because they have a large number of people, and especially have them, if the people there are under the age of 30. I go to one bar, that only hires bouncers in the summer time, because the crowd starts growing over 80 or 90 folks ( mostly on the weekends). Same bar, but with that many young people, the chances of one guy or 2 starting a fight goes up.
Any bar that has a young crowd and a lot of people, and doesn't hire bouncers, is either stupid, or enjoys watching mayem and violence.
