I suspect that any animals eaten by these people are completely consumed. No waste. Including what would end up in a hot dog.
As for the "for your own good" business, I always head for the door when someone says that. Liberals and other manipulators ALWAYS do things for YOUR own good, doncha know?

Fascinating that he threw out the "evil" six-year-old. Sounds like he did see something in the child or in the mother that he did not want to deal with. Evil? Or mental illness so perplexing he knew he had no answers?
I think other forms of hypnosis are basically more honest and honorable. The hypnotist first asks the client for permission to hypnotize him, then goes into an induction that's clearly an induction. But as you know, Ericksonians try to get you "under" before you know what hit you, thereby taking over your mental space without your permission. Someone tried it on me once, maybe 30 years ago, and it still gives me the CREEPS. Literally turns my stomach to think of someone manipulating me into submission. Naturally, I did not get hypnotized.

In ancient Chinese mystical literature, extreme yin (passive, feminine, indirection, dampness, shapelessness, etc) is considered the home of "demoniacs," and is a state that must be avoided or madness might ensue.
I tend to think it was blatant demonic that he was averse to dealing with in the kids he told to never be brought back again.
I don't recall any mental malady he was totally ineffective with.
Pehaps you heard about the tomato cancer case?
Wife of husband came to him. Husband dying of incurable cancer. In agonizing pain. No pain killers worked any more. Wife desperate for relief for hubby. Hubby refused hypnosis because of religious reasons.
Milton asked what was left that was of any import to hubby, interest--hobby sort or whatever.
Growing tomatoes was still his passion.
So, milton in his wheelchair came to see hubby in wheelchair out in the garden. And in one 15 min or so session talking only about tomatoes, Milton taught hubby how to hypnotize himself to rid himself of the pain merely by talking about tomatoes--all without hubby realizing that's what had been done.
Interesting case. Guess I don't really fault Milton on that one. He did relieve pain. He merely talked about tomatoes.
MOST hypnosis has been shown to be 'merely' hyper focused attention. But I don't like the aspect of opening up to control by others or the demonic.
Have been trained well in it. But don't do it.
We all get hypnotized by advertising and stripes on the highway. And by certain types of droning orators.
I think it's a tricky, mixed bag. But with so many hazards spiritually, I prefer to leave it alone.
But Milton was one powerful change agent. Had an opportunity to go see him with my classmates once. Chose not to go. Didn't know enough about him at the time. Might have refused more strongly, if I had.
I have no evidence nor did I ever hear of him causing any negative result in any of his patients. I know a lot of pastors who can't say that.

It's certainly conceivable. And something I've thought of more than once.
I don't recall if he was agnostic or nominal Christian. I have in mind the latter.
I don't know what to do with the enormous good he did--much of it without any significant payment or return to him but knowing he'd done a suffering soul some lasting good.
I think he was one of the most self-less psychiatrists I've ever known of.
I suppose you've come across Jay Hayley's book on Christ's supposed skillful use of such techniques. I think Hayle's more than a little off the wall. Nevertheless, Christ's Sermon on the Mount and many other things do fit within the paradigm from that perspective.
Many things are powerful methodologies more or less neutral in and of themselves.
We can hoe weeds or crops to death.
We can affirm good or evil.
It appears that Milton did only good with his skills. I have no other evidence. I think I must leave him to God's wise, just, loving judgment.

Have you done the hemi-sync training? I'm rather afraid to try, as I was once and may still be quite able to make alpha, beta, etc at will, almost too easily. In fact, years ago I was on 20/20 demonstrating alpha wave production. I was sort of a natural with most biofeedback equipment, slowing my heart, pulse, temp, etc at the drop of a hat. How? Effortlessly, I simply told the machines what I wanted them to register. No biggie. But deep brainwave changes do seem threatening if I over-reacted. You think?
