I think that many of our natural instincts are dulled, or we talk ourselves into ignoring or overriding them. Take stress, for example. Stress is nothing more than trying to ignore an instinctive "fight of flight" response. We deal with it by taking pills, having a drink....or taking a tropical vacation. We have relied too much on technologies and governments to keep us safe, and too little on the natural good sense God gave us.
