Another call for The UN eviction. Why don't we stop paying their rent?
To: melancholy
As I suggested on another thread, the money we send to fund the U.N. should be redirected to disaster relief in Asia. After all, I'm sure the U.N. would want it that way.....

Tell 'em, Steve! (BTW, I wonder if he hears 2008 calling?)

(It's sad that the news media treats Michael Jackson better than our military.)

If he intends to organize this I'll send in a donation.

The UN was a wonderful idea. Sadly it has sunk into a tar pit of corruption. I say either the crooks in charge are thrown out to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law or we leave the UN forth with.

And after the UN is disbanded, the UN Building should be made into a museum as a reminder to future generations of a mistake never to make again.

It's not even a wonderful idea. It's the preliminary stage of a world government.

Sounds good to me. The USA (and Israel) should withdraw from the UN immediately.

It should be called the UN Holocaust Museum and feature exhibits of the millions of murdered people who died under the watch of the UN(Rwanda,Sudan,Korea etc.).

The UN was a wonderful idea Why? What is wonderful about giving equal weight to the voices of free countries versus the voices of murderous tyrants?

If it would have followed the original chater not it was not. But they have been moving way from that for the past 4 decades. As it stand you are right. They need to be put back in its places and it not we need to move that place out of the US and the US out of the UN.

It's scary how much the UN Charter resembles the Constitutions of the former Communist countries.

he original idea was a place to settle griavances in order to prevent wars. But under the current management they have in fact hastened them. The current UN is not working and either needs sever reforms or the US needs to leave.

I did not say it was perfect but it had promise. But I think that if severe and credible reforms starting with the removal and criminal prosecution of Kofi do not happen soon, say within the next 6 months we should leave.
