I got the same thing but apparently others were able to listen.
In today's The Washington Times (Feb. 1, 2005, p. A16) the is an offensive letter to the editor by Eric Stetson of Burke. Either he is totally misinformed or simply lying, but he actually claims that Terri is in a vegetative state. He goes on to argue why Christians should send Terri to heaven to be with God.
At no point does Eric Stetson make a reference to how horrible it is to be starved to death; to her estranged husband with his mistress and illegitimate children and a financial gains being her guardian; to the fact that what caused Terri's condition was never investigated (might well have been attempted murder); that the estranged husband has been fighting giving a deposition; etc.
I am disappointed that The Washington Times published a letter today from a Eric Stetson which pushed the lie that Terri Schiavo is in a vegetative state.
Thank you Ken Conner, for all you do for Terri..........keep up the good fight.
TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1333205/posts?page=1#1
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." Tom Jefferson (is that Jefferson's quote, EV?)
After that hearing, GREER turned down the Schindlers' appeal about Terri's religious freedoms and about the Pope's position on feeding tubes. That is on appeal at the 2nd dca which is also full of judicial tyrannists.
Thanks. It is calming and beautiful for me to hear the Rosary due to spending time with prayerful Terri supporters of the Catholic faith. These folks have enriched my life.
Then, Terri was moved out of Mediplex and transferred to a nursing home in Pinellas County.
I don't know if there was ever an explanation regarding any SETBACKS... If the State Investigative Bodies had done their job and investigated this, maybe we would know why a ward of the state was in recovery and THEN RECOVERY STOPPED, and THEY JUDGE GREER BASICALLY MOVED HER TO HOSPICE after Sabal Palms stated they were getting too much media there.
Anyone who knows, is that accurate re: Sabal Palms. I like to be accurate. Please correct my recollection if you know.
Call your local Fox Affiliate and ask them for the FOX NEWS CHANNEL phone number. That number has a menu. Or visit their web site and see what contact information is available.
Isn't it ironic that a lot of freepers who did link exchanges with the swifties are the same freepers who are helping Terri? DOES MICHAEL SCHIAVO REALLY KNOW WHAT HE'S UP AGAINST in addition to God Almighty?
ATTENTION ALL FREEPERS: Terri February thread see POST 2615.
"I am disappointed that The Washington Times published a letter today from a Eric Stetson which pushed the lie that Terri Schiavo is in a vegetative state."
Every once in awhile the Washington Times does something dumb. I hope, they will at least show the other side, as well.
txrangerette says:
"I would not trust Bill O'Reilly on this one, even if you could get through to him. He savaged the Swift Boat Vets and he protected Dan Rather. You never know where he will come down on an issue.
Yes, he might choose to investigate Terri's injuries, Judge Greer, the Euthanasia movement, Hospice, etc. OR he could decide to focus on poor Michael and his "heroic" quest to put his "wife" out of her misery, and how Jeb Bush "unconstitutionally" stopped him.
As far as I know, Hannity and Greta have expressed sympathy for Terri and her family, and I would stick with people like them."
I know what you mean, txrangerette, but O'Reilly did have a woman on who was mistakingly diagnosed as having PVC, and she and O'Reilly had a great conversation. This so-called "once a vegetable" was quite a talker! :)
I don't get it. WHY would Terri be condemned to eternal damnation? If someone kills HER, why would she be condemned?
Thanks for the ping!
Terri is a Roman Catholic and theoretically, in court, the argument was that if it was her wish, she would be committing suicide which is assisted suicide. It was brought up in court. I wasn't at that hearing but all this was reported by www.sptimes.com. Just repeating what I read about a month and a half ago when Greer didn't think that the Pope was anybody special nor the Schindlers, nor Terri's religious freedoms as a Catholic.
"The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."
It didn't really originate with Jefferson at all...it came much later. But that doesn't matter at all.
when Greer didn't think that the Pope was anybody special
So who does George W. Greer think is special? That's easy:
George W. Greer! of course
O'Reilly has covered Terri in the past and was said to have been somewhat neutral. Some thought that he was deferential to the popular George F. Felos. Perhaps he fell under Felos' spell during the interview!
