Are we getting warmer or colder?

Beats me. I was noting something about blam's original post.

It was sort of rhetorical. I don't think they can make up their minds.

cough cough....as already pointed out, 3195 B.C.E./B.C. was roughly 5200 years ago, exactly where this guy's dates match up.

What I want to know....is he trying to say it will get colder or warmer? Because he says the sun decreased and then rapidly increased its energy......one would think this meant it got cold and then really warm. But, how can this be when everything located was frozen, indicating it did NOT get colder despite the burst of solar energy?

What is he trying to imply about changes today, and what is his evidence?

See post 9, as well as the original article. Trees over the world did record it.

Ironically due to European contact with Muslim societies that were very scientific early on.....and now they are backwoods places while West excels.

I would not mind another little ice age.

I love winter and find it annoying how mild winters have become since the mid-1900's.

We used to have big blizzards here in KS....15-20 inches a couple times every decade. Now we are lucky to get one 10-inch snowstorm every couple years.

This year is recorded as the DRIEST, not the wettest, period.

Measurements already indicate the current is slowing down due to less salt in the water.

I think the theory is accurate. However, some of the scientists who talk about it downplay the impact on North America (probably to avoid being seen as sensationalistic).

However, in reality, if all of a sudden Europe goes into an icebox with glaciers, it is a huge enough event that it will impact us as well. We have to get much colder here in the U.S. as well, particularly the northeast.....but everybody would be impacted.

It is funny how nature has a way of balancing itself out. It gets warm (which it undeniably is....it just is not all due to us "evil people" like the left wants us to believe).....and nature will correct the warming.

Not sure how to do links, but the following thread discussed NOW on FR may shed some light on this mystery (5000 years ago women ruled!)

I read somewhere that our sun is a bit more active now than is usual- we should be settling into Quiet Sun (Solar Min) yet there are still quite a few sunspots.

3195 B.C. is the same as 5,200 years ago (plus or minus 5 years).

UH OH, how long do they think we have? Maybe it already started?

LOL, I used to shovel driveways for $1.50 in Prarie Village(1954-58) whenI was 8 or 9. I indeed remember a couple of those biggies, ugh. Drifts to 4 feet, ugh.
