Why is the US paying a country to help it bring in immigrants from some other country? Because after the fall of the Berlin wall the US felt it was important to encourage immigration from the former Soviet Union. A few people thought it would be beneficial to spend the money bring Russian Jews to the US, George Will comes to mind, but most disagreed.

The letter was sent on December 17 by New York Democrats Jerrold Nadler and Charles Rangel. I need to know no more than these two are for it for me to be against it.
