"Fascism is about as far to the right as one can go but just like its cousin Nazism, it isn't purely a politically right philosophy. It had plenty of elements that are far left too."

You guys had better do some studying on political terms brfore you start posting "definitions" on this thread.

Yet the author of the tripe for this thread thinks that we've moved to the Left.

Of course we haven't moved left, but you wouldn't know that to see RINOs like Arlen Specter.

"A scary percentage of the people in this country are complacent and weak and pay little attention to what their government is, or could do to them."

Perhaps, but I think that's alarmist. Despite the largest voter turnout in history, many millions of eligible citizens didn't vote (and many millions of those not eligible DID vote -- the dead, the duplicate, the imaginary -- but that's a different story). Some would put that down to complacency; others (such as that supposedly smartest human ever, Marilyn vos Savant -- a fake moniker if ever...) attribute it to basic satisfaction with the way the country is run.

Could be that way too many people hit the crack pipe, but then again, they probably voted for Kerry. More than once.
