students need to vote with their feet.

Then those same students need to vote with their hiring.

Never hire an employee with a feminst studies degree, never hire a sociology degree from berkley.

can anyone else think of degrees you would never want an applicant to have?

I am more living proof that teachers in modern Colleges expect you to conform to their views. In my English class we had to read several books that idolized incest, rape, drug use and or violence. While this in and of itself isn't a problem, the fact that I constantly got marked down for not writing glowing reports about the subject matter irked me. The icing on the cake however wasn't until I took a second level Poly-Sci course. The teacher actually said that North Korea had every right to invade South Korea... Oh but that wasn't the worst of it. He pulled aside a member of the Young Campus Republicans and myself after class one day and that he would make sure we failed the class if we didn't get in line. Needless to say we were both worried. I because of being on Academic probation (due to stupid choices on my part mostly) and the other kid because he didn't want to be removed from the Deans List. Well we tried out best, but on the day before our final exam (yes he really did give out our assignments the day before they were due, its a wonder anyone passed his class... and this guy had TENURE!) he didn't give me my reference sheet. I walked up to him and asked why I didn't get a sheet and he told me in a loud voice "Don't even bother to take this exam, I'm going to fail you no matter what!" I was aghast. Here I was, at the end of the year, if I could just get through this semester with decent grades I would be okay for my last year, and the one class I decided to take for an easy grade booster was going to be the one to get me kicked out of College in my Junior year. Well I showed up anyhow and took the test, managed to even get a B- on it, yet I managed to fail the class because of a paper I "didn't turn in" that was worth 40% of my grade for the semester apparently. Ah well, that was a fun one to try and explain to the folks.
