In the article post in Post #75 found by schu....there has been a change. Normally I'm not into conspiracy theories but see what you all think.
Here is the original article as post on FreeRepublic.
Democrats' Leader Says Gregoire Wins Recount
In the original article, the following paragraph was written...
"Berendt and Democratic party officials reached the conclusion after crunching numbers supplied by King County, and adding in 320 ballots that were considered during a meeting today of the county's canvassing board."
If you click on the link to the article, you will find that the paragraph listed above is MISSING and in its place, you find this one...
""We're confident Christine Gregoire has been elected the governor of the state of Washington," Democratic Chairman Paul Berendt said. "I believe Dino Rossi should concede.""
Now am I reading into this something that is not there? It does seem strange that the story changed....What do you guys think?

The Secretary of State has not reported King County yet. Pierce County (Tacoma - oh how I love..) looks suspicious.
Look at the Pierce County results on the Secretary of State for Washington official site.
I think every on this board should read John Fund's Stealing Elections How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy. ![](
http://www.townhall.com/graphics1/books/bookclub%20graphics/specificbooks/fund.gif)
. Fund wrote this prior to the November election. Although this didn't pan out in the Presidential race (except for some relatively inconsequential shenanigans in Ohio), it did play out in the Washington Governor's race.

"and adding in 320 ballots that were considered during a meeting today of the county's canvassing board." I agree with you -adding ballots was not allowed per the WSC opinion -- Look at post #220.

Now come the Republican lawsuits to make sure every vote is counted like they were in King County. If I'm not mistaken, King County counted by a different set of rules....not allowed under the ruling of Bush v. Gore. I see this one tied up for a long time with Rossi eventually pulling it out. I'm not sure which way the pubbies will argue the case if Gregoire's thugs do finally manage to "get her the victory." The State Supreme Court hears a couple aspects of this case Dec. 22, one of which is that our Secretary of State is asking the court to define "recount" more clearly because the way KingCo recounted was different from the way some other counties defined it. One county, Grant, has 52 new votes they can't extract from the recounted total.
I am leaning into agreement with your second bolded statement, above. Time will tell. This race is a test of endurance at the very least.
I was shocked to see a thread tonight posting the results of an "Elway" poll here: two-thirds of Washingtonians said that if Rossi loses the second recount, there should be a re-vote.
Public opinion has gone against Chris for all the right reasons. For Washington, that in itself is amazing. It's equal to 6.0 earthquake quality news.

ooops -make that post #230. Republicans only have to find 'mismatch' of 8 votes in one county to bring election into question

the only recourse left is whether they re-counted with different standards in King, then in the rest of the counties They did. That is why our Sec'y of State is asking the State Supreme Court Dec. 22 to more clearly define "recount."

I'm counting on the match-up process to find those votes needed for Rossi. ScottFromSeattle said that the totals must be matched up with the precincts, in Spokane I guess, this changed the totals. I'm hoping it can happen in King as well.

I advise Rossi to sue to have every ballot in the state manually examined. That is what Washington has been doing for the past many days, but without a lawsuit. The state law allows a manual recount after a machine recount.

I think people are having flashbacks to Gore and 2000. This is making the average blue collar democrat sick to his/her stomach seeing what their party has become these days. They see people like those that occupy DUmmy land and how the party has aligned itself with the Greens and the nutjobs in Ohio.
This is enough to turn off most democrats...in a revote, Rossi would win in a landslide.

"**I guess that this means we go to a revote.**"
The big deal is, How do we in Washington effect a valid revote without first fixing the problems that led to this thievery and chaos? And how can that be done timely?

If we don't give up we will win. I like your spirit. And I think you're right. It's going to continue to be a bumpy ride for a while.

there are very few Cedars in Eastern King county.Perhaps the name is referring to cedars that once grew along the Cedar River, which runs somewhat east to west in King County (Maple Valley, Renton, etc., area).

I am not in Washington, but this does make me mad. With all the fraud I can tell you folks up there in Washington just need to revote. I am in Washington. Your post is a welcome read. If people outside the state are getting lathered about this, it's a good sign.
There's a thread on FR tonight that in an "Elway" poll in WA, two-thirds of the responders said that if Rossi lost the second recount, there should be a re-vote. I was shocked. I believe Gregoire is very afraid of a revote due to all the ill will she's generated.

in a revote, Rossi would win in a landslide. That's my take on it. And it would be a big enough landslide that the despite the dems' continuing efforts, constricted as they would be under much brighter lights, Rossi would keep his win.

Turnout would be a big factor, but without many of the legal issues being clarified
and settled, we'd have another mess on our hands. It may not keep Rossi from his governorship, but it would allow the dems to keep stirring the pot of illegitimacy claims during his term (which would be difficult anyway, with a dem legislature) and make it much easier for them to inject chaos for any future race they want to steal. There are numerous legal issues, and issues of inconsistency in counting returns, that have been raised in Washington's SLOPPY election process and they need to be corrected.
.... I wonder if there is any connection between that ... and dems being in control of Washington State government for decades ... / sarcasm
