Business disputes, for one. Inheritance, child support and custody are also decided, but the parties can appeal such decisions to regular NY courts if they violate NY law or public policy (say, if some provision of Rabbinical law treats women unfairly in inheritance disputes).

That's the thing - any dispute decided under arbitration, of any stripe, has to turn to the courts for enforcement. The courts would refuse to enforce any arbitration judgement which violated the legislative law or public policy.
