Education reform (increased federal funding with greatly increased accountability) Not tog et off topic, but since when is increased federal funding of education a conservative stance?

He has claimed that his wife has denied him conjugal rights when when he made political decisions with which she did not agree. Guess he doesn't want to be lonely on New Year's Eve.

There's no denying that Arnold's an talented &
ambitious individual.
Question: of all the women Arnold could've married, why a Kennedy ?
It's not by accident !
To: Captain Kirk
"If you voted for George "massively increased welfare state" Bush, you already have "changed.""
If Kerrey wasn't so horible Bush would have gone down in flames.
He won by default not from votes of people that believed in him or his socialist program.

"Question: of all the women Arnold could've married, why a Kennedy ? It's not by accident !"
You mean marrying into "American Royalty" wasn't an "an accident"?? /sarcasm
Some public servants are more or less interested in making America a greater place; Others live for "POWER."
Arnie is obviously DRUNKEN with the power aspect.
To: NittanyLion
"Not tog et off topic, but since when is increased federal funding of education a conservative stance?"Since certain RINO presidents assumed such pandering might garner them votes at the expense of shredding the GOP platform

Perhaps he meant Alexander Hamilton, who was born in the West Indian islands.

Arnie is obviously DRUNKEN with the power aspect. More like: Arnold's taken his first sip.
The BINGE is yet to come.

I think a RAT should get elected next election and finish the job of chasing all the business out of CA so the state can go bankrupt and the Feds have to take over so they can enact the necessary Spending Cuts that have to be done here.I get your drift, but the tax increases, OUCH. Not likely the Feds would take over but they might have to pay for the bailout.

IMO GWB has won by being a brilliant big tent politician.
If he were a ranting extremist he would have lost.

"More like: Arnold's taken his first sip. The BINGE is yet to come."I think you're right...
Already he's got his minions metaphorically knocking over liquor stores and conspiring to subverting the US Constitution in order to get him elected President.

" since when is increased federal funding of education a conservative stance? "
It isn't, and I think that the money that was already being spent was more than enough.
However, what President Bush wanted was the increased accountability of teachers, schools, and academic standards, and the increased federal funding was simply the cost of getting opponents (Democrats and moderate Republicans) to vote for it.
I don't know whether I agree with it or not, but Bush made the decision that the price was worth it.
This is the understanding of political reality that illustrates Bush's leadership and the ability to get what he wants on the issues that are important to him.

There's no increased accountability - No Child Left Behind is a disaster. "Education reform" has amounted to a huge increase in federal education funding and a dysfunctional reporting program.
Nothing conservative about it.
To: yonif
Move left?why?..are you jealous of the debacle we have made of our society in Canada and therefore you want to catch up so you can feel similar pain and remorse and, what the heck,stupidity....do yourself a favour and pass on the moving left option for the repub platforms of the future...

Exactly! BAD idea! RHINO or worse? We need and will vote for conservative on fiscal matters AND social issues.
"Schwarzenegger, a Republican, has taken an unorthodox approach since winning office last year - standing by a promise to toe a conservative line on fiscal matters while veering leftward on social issues such as gay rights and the environment."
