Amazing!!
Thanks. God bless the USMC
Thanks to Ollie, a true "great American"** for bringing this to light.
**unlike some overrated talk show hosts
I had heard of him. Read his story at official USMC website and elsewhere, but then I avoid the MSM like the plague. And let me tell you, the Marines still make 'em like they used to. The Marines- it ain't a job,an adventure, or crossing into the blue... it's about being a warrior.
just wow
What can I say that would equal the deeds of this young man. I think I can only thank God for his sacrifice.
"To save his fellow Marines, Peralta reached out, grabbed the grenade, and tucked it under his abdomen where it exploded."
May God rest Sgt. Peralta's soul and allow his survivors to take comfort in the fact that the heroic sacrifice will forever change the lives of the many Marines who were saved that day. Sgt. Peralta's act of bravery and selflessness defines heroism at its finest.
It is humbling to know that there exist people willing to give the most precious gift they have to help another. This man DESERVES the Congressional Medal Of Honor without a doubt.
No doubt this day he is with his Lord.
May GOD BLESS and keep this true HERO
Thanks...for a thought provoking truth spellbinding post.
Without a doubt.
& p*ss on PO Paredes.
Amazing and Inspiring.....
Sgt. Rafael Peralta = American Hero. RIP, Marine.
Screw the MSM scumbags.
Thanks for Ollie's take on it. Its been posted before on FR (search for his name, marine sacrifices, etc.).
Ollie quotes from one of the original news articles. The article said he and 2 other Marines fled into a side room as they came under fire. The grenade came in and they tried to get out another door which was locked - so they were trapped in the small room. That's when Rafael covered the grenade.

Just in case you missed this inspiring story.
Look, but maybe this is just as well the media is not all over this story. This way only good people can celebrate the life and mourn the death of this hero. I shudder to think of some zitty cynical university student ridiculing and badmouthing this soldier's sacrifice in his/her school essay the way they ridiculed Pat Tillman. Let us quietly pray for this guy and not let the his name being desecrated by the sticky paws of the leftist scum.
Where do we get men like this...
I think I've come to hate the MSM.
