I'm sure the "extreme right" in Holland is anyone to the right of Marx. I hope the right wing parties rise and kick the teeth of the commie, liberal crapweasels that have ruled europe for 50 years.

Extreme Right.......Is that what they call it in Holland when you resist being forced to walk slowly to your own beheading?

"Extreme Right.......Is that what they call it in Holland when you resist being forced to walk slowly to your own beheading?"

Anything that is not socialism is called extreme right in Europe.

I am curious, but wouldn't practicing muslims qualify as "extreme" something?

CORRECT HEADLINE:"Sleeping DUTCH, finally waking up to preserve/protect their culture and their country."

I thought the headline was: "Dutch people, fearful of the situation at home, are fleeing their country."

'Course, I can't really blame people for doing that if the government of their own country won't allow the citizens to defend themselves.

Germany yes, Holland no. Besides, we set up democracies. We did not force the people to elect the socialists.

As more and more people wake up to the fact that their desire for less immigration from islamic countries, more deportations of the muslims are being ignored by their elected officials, the far right will grow.

The most important line of the entire story?

The study also found that the extreme right was involved in 27 cases or 15 percent of reported incidents.

Shouldn't this story be about all of the left wing violence?

These events are startling considering Holland's global reputation for understanding and tolerance. It reveals without doubt the fashion in which extremists provoke reactions - reactions they themselves then loudly condemn!
I don't condone any violence, but I strongly suspect the British Government is hoping to sidestep parallel developments by attempting to usher in new "protective" laws. That is not the answer. It serves only to alienate the inhabitants of the country who believe advantage is being taken of them in a religio/political game. The best solution is for those of other aggressive faiths which nurture terrorist activity to denounce loudly and consistently the actions of those despicable creatures, yield any information they might have in order to help counter threats, and make greater efforts to co-exist with the people of their host country - without constantly demanding additional rights and freedoms.
I am really wearied with this repeated whinge about muslims being "the victims of 9/11". The true victims were hideously consumed by that holocaust, or amongst those still struggling to live after the loss of the family's breadwinner.
The true answer is in THEIR hands...not in new laws.

I noticed this article says 'extreme right' 15 times, often linked with 'racist'. Anyone who doesn't submit to Islam is an extreme right racist, apparently.

There really are neo-Nazis in the Netherlands and the murder of Van Gogh is a godsend for them. They are extremely unsavoury and you shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking that they have anything at all in common with conservatives who should not be applauding the firebombing of muslim schools (not saying you are but some comments on this thread make you wonder).

Not really. We fostered a more socialist brand of governments in Europe. We did NOT model them after an American elected republic like we have. In order to sell post WWII Europe on our handi-work, we supported socialism. The idea being that an American style elected republic would not work there due to the nature of the peoples. It also allowed some of the socialist elements of the american system to tinker around the edges and promote there what they failed at here.

We launched reformed government all thruout Europe, not just Germany. France, Belgium, Luxemburgh, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, etc...... were influenced mostly by American hands.
